timesPoynt, a free application powered by data from timescity.com, provides users with the unique ability to search their local area for events, movies, restaurants and nightlife.
timesPoynt provides users with the ability to move beyond discovery of their local area to click-to-call businesses, get directions, browse listing websites, send details to a friend or add listings to their calendar or address book.
timesPoynt also features a fully integrated weather home screen and the ability to search for long-term forecasts.
GPS and WiFi capabilities mean that you do not have to enter your search location; finding the nearest theatre or restaurant is as easy as one click. If you want to search from a different location, you can simply select any location you choose. timesPoynt’s ease of use means more time in the day available for you to do the things you choose.

Nightlife – find local nightlife, top 10 nightlife or search by keyword; click-to-call; get directions; send details to contacts
Movies – search by theater, movie, or genre; click –to-call; get directions; sort by name or rating; view trailers; add to calendar; send details to contacts
Restaurants – Search by name, cuisine type, top 10 or nearby; click-to-call; get directions; view website;
Events – search by category, venue, performer, event or nearby; get directions; send details to contacts; add events to calendar
*** Poynt asks for permission to access your calendar, contacts and location in order to deliver an integrated experience:
Calendar – You can have Poynt add movie showtimes and events to one of your calendars.
Location – Accessing your location allows you to quickly search for nearby businesses using your GPS or cell-site location.
